Scholarships allocated to Albania are usually available to other Balkan and Mediterranean Countries as well. Scholarships are offered by Universities/Italian organizations and are co-financed by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGCS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lists of available scholarships are made public by the Italian Embassy through “Note Verbali“ (Verbal Notes) addressed to the Albanian Ministry of Economy (official counterpart of all cooperation activities) and in copy to other Ministries potentially interested. Candidates must apply to the Embassy/Cooperation Office through the Ministry of Economy. Candidates are selected by the DGCS and the sponsoring University/Italian organization.
